Welcome Back!

 

The season in off and running. We see daily more and more folks that are heading to AZ trying to get a splash of sunlight and avoid the bitter cold that rules this time of year from where they call home. Last Wednesday Debe and I had the privilege of meeting 2 new couples that dropped by our store from out of town doing just that. The first couple, from the Northwest, had met one of our good friends who is a concierge at a local resort. After inquiring about a few local activities the visitors mentioned to our friend they were heading to our store when our concierge friend announced, "The owners are my friends!" These nice folks mentioned that interaction, thus striking up a conversation with us mentioning that they had been to our store most every time they are in the Valley.

The second couple we met was from a small town in North Carolina just outside where our son lives. As we were saying farewell to the folks from the Northwest, the second couple struck up a conversation about their new endeavor in the state that has the moniker of "First in Flight." These new entrepreneurs have just secured a historic house where they will be opening their quilt shop/craft store later this year. We were able to spend quite a while with them comparing notes and sharing some nuggets of information from the last 8 years of experience in our business.

These types of interactions are alway a highlight and typically happen during the Winter months when more folks from out of state are here enjoying the

bright and sunny Grand Canyon State!
